Quick run to Alaska
We were too disorganized to plan much this summer, so just made a quick run to the
Kenai Peninsula around the labor day weekend. Familiar territory meant no need for planning, stress-free trip and pictures of creatures.

Fall in Seattle is unbroken gloom. Good time to organize pictures from summer trips. We didn't make it out to the mountains as much as usual this year, but there were a couple of nice
backpacking trips east of Glacier Peak. Spider Meadow and Buck Creek/Flower Dome are nice meadows for visiting in August, with nice views of Glacier Peak to the west if you walk up high enough.
